Rinkkareissu 2014 – tunturikalastajan muonat

Se olis sitten taas SE aika vuodesta! Pakkaaminen alkaa, reissu siis lähestyy… Viime vuonna kirjottelin vain pikkaisen sitä sun tätä ennen reissuun lähtöä, enkä tänäkään vuonna uskalla mitään kummempia luvata, mutta voisi olla itsellekin hyvä pohtia tänne näitä varustevalintoja ennen reissua.

Parista edellisestä vuodesta poiketen matkaan lähdetään rinkat selässä, helikopteri- eli porvarikyydin sijaan. Tosin leiri perustettaneen yhteen paikkaan, josta sitten tehdään päiväreissuja, eli pitkin poikin ei rinkka selässä sen enempää kierrellä. Matkaa tullee noin maksimissaan 15km suuntaansa, eli ei liikaa, mutta todennäköisesti ihan tarpeeksi, kun sinne pitäisi kuitenkin raahata parin viikon kamat…

Kaikenlaista on pitänyt listailla, ja paljon tarkemmin kuin edellisinä vuosina. Nyt ei otetakaan näitä “varmuuden vuoksi”-tavaroita. Kalastuskohdekin on todennäköisesti haastavampi kuin aiemmin, eli ruokakala ei todellakaan ole sanottu, siksipä ruuan suhteen pitää olla erityisen tarkka – vaikka kiloja saisi vyötäröltä lähteäkin, niin ei lomalla ole kiva olla nälässä.

Aloitetaanpa ruokapuolesta, kun tänään tuli hieman jo haalittua kaupasta jotakin myös reissulle.

 

Aamupala; puuroa ja kahvia.

Olen aina ollut kahvi-ihminen. Aamulla siis juodaan kahvetta. Mukaan lähtee varmastikin yksi paketti pannukahvia, mutta lisäksi varmaan jonkin verran pikakahvia, vaikkei se hyvää olekaan. Mistäköhän muuten saisi sellaisia pieniä pyramidin mallisia maitopakkauksia ostettua? Hitto ne olis käteviä, ja niitä viime reissulla mukana olikin kaverin tuomana. Kyllä se kahvi menee ilmankin, vaikka olenkin “maitoilija” sivistyksessä. Maitojauheesta ei mielestäni juuri iloa ole, sitäkin on koitettu.

Aika vakioaamupala on ollut Elovenan annospikapuuro (35g) ja siihen sekoitettuna Lämmin kuppi-keitto (27g), makea sellainen, tietenkin. Tuossa keitossa on C-vitamiinia, ja parilla eri maulla saa parin eri puuromaun kanssa edes vähän vaihtelua aamupalaan. Nyt ostin myös saman valmistajan “Lounashetki” pikapuuroja, jotka ovat 50g / pussi. Hieman enemmän siis syötävää. Ja toki noita 35g puuroja vetää parikin, jos tiedossa on vaikka päiväreissu.

Mahdollista graavikalaa nautitaan myös joskus aamulla näkkileivän päällä, ja näkkileipää lähteekin mukaan paketillinen (400g), joka on valmistajasta riippuen jotain 32-35 palaa. Näin joka päivälle voi laskea ~3 palaa näkkäriä. Vielä on näkkäri ostamatta ja harkinnassa onkin jos tilalle tuleekin hapankorppua. Ravinnollisesti hapankorppu on vissiin piirun verran parempaa, ja menee pienempään tilaan, mutta näkkileipää on kyllä varmasti mukavampi rouskuttaa.

Ostin myös kokeeksi pari Real Turmatin breakfast-mixiä, joka on ilmeisesti jonkin sortin hedelmämysli. Pussiruokatyyliin kiehuvaa vettä pussiin (tosin vain minuutin odotus), ja ääntä kohti. Nettopaino 177g ja tuosta saa 648 kilokaloria, joten aika reilu satsi on kyseessä. Ajattelin, että tuon voisi karkeasti jakaa puoliksi, jolloin yhdestä pussista saisi vielä siltikin pari tuhtia aamupalaa (324kcal/kerta). Verrokkina tuo puuro+keitto (35g+27g) antaa noin 240kcal.

Elovenaa ja kuppikeittoa – helppoa ja nopeaa, eikä nyt niin hullumman makuistakaan

 

Päiväruoka; pussiruuat ja muut sörsselit – joskus jopa kalaa.

Olen aiemmin kirjoittanut itselleni ylös, että pussiruokia voisi olla ehkä sopiva määrä kaksi pussia kolmeen päivään. Tämä toki riippuu hirvittävästi muun ruuan määrästä, ja siitä, kuinka saadaan kalaa, sekä päiväreissujen määrästä. Aiemmilta reissuilta oppineena, tulee päiväreissuja tehtyä varmaan keskimäärin puolet täysistä reissupäivistä. Kun reissu on nyt varmaankin 13-päiväinen, niin lähtö- ja tulopäivän laskiessa pois, jää jäljelle 11 täyttä kalastuspäivää. Näistä siis päiväreissupäiviä on varmaan neljästä kuuteen päivää, lasketaan nyt siis viisi päivää. Päiväreissulla tarkoitan siis päivää, jolloin päiväruoka otetaan mukaan (käytännössä lähes aina pussiruoka) ja syödään muualla kuin leirissä. Tarkennetaan myös, että pussiruuista kun puhun, niin tarkoitan näitä pussista syötäviä retkiruokia. Eli kiehuva vesi pussiin, pussi kiinni, ravistus, ja odottelua yleensä kymmenisen minuuttia.

Pussiruokia on siis hyvä olla tuo oletettujen päiväreissujen määrä, ja lisäksi noin puolet normileiripäivistä. Näitä leiripäiviä siis on tod.näk. viidestä seitsemään. Tällä logiikalla ajattelin varata siis 5pss (päiväreissut) + 5-7 leiripäivää jaettuna kahdella (eli noin kuusi päivää) =  kahdeksan (8) pussiruokaa. Ja tuokin osuu suunnilleen yksiin siihen “kaksi pussiruokaa kolmea päivää kohti”-filosofiaan. Kun hankintoja katselee, niin varmasti ainakin tuo 8 pussia mukaan lähtee, ehkä vielä varalle parikin pussia, kun en noita lähtö- ja tulopäiviä huomioinut lainkaan, ja lisäksi tuuliset ja/tai sateiset telttapäivät saattavat kasvattaa pussiruokamenekkiä.

Pussiruuista minulla ei vielä kovin laajaa kokemusta ole, mutta Blå Bandin ruuat tuntuvat olevan hinta-laatu-suhteeltaan ihan hyviä. Makuhan näissä missään (merkistä riippumatta) ei nyt kovin kummoinen ole, mutta maastossa se ruoka yleensä maistuu, ja näitähän kannattaa maustaa esim. chilillä. Myös keittoveteen liotetuilla kuivatuilla suppiksilla saa lisäravintoa, että -makua.

Ostin nyt näitä uudempia, vaakamallisia Blå Bandeja (esim. Varusteleka 7,99€). Pussin muoto on lusikointia ajatellen parempi eli matalampi, ja näissä on minigrip-suljin entisen teipin sijaan. Myös grammoja on noin 25% enemmän kuin vanhoissa, kaloreita vastaavasti noin 100 enemmän (650kcal), hieman makuvaihtoehdosta riippuen toki. Kuutta erilaista makua lähtee nyt testiin, joten vaihtelua piisaa. Lisäksi pari Real Turmatin riisi+merikissamuhennos-annosta (Royal Thai) lähtee matkaan. Real Turmatien pitäisi olla näiden retkiruokien Mersu, ja kerran syömäni Real Turmatin pasta oli ihan ok. RT:ssä on myös fiksusti minigrip-suljin mutta pussi on pystymallinen. Joskin loistava juttu pakkaamisen näkökulmasta on se, että pusseista on ilmat imaistu pois, eli ylimääräistä tilaa ei pusseissa ilma vie.

Pussiruokien lisäksi tottakai pyritään syömään Ahdin armon mukaisesti kalaa. Päiväreissujen kalat nautitaan ehkä tulilla iltaisin, ellei ne löydä paikkaansa graaviksi folioon käärittynä. Jos tullaan leiriin päivällä syömään niin luonnollisesti loihditaan ateria siellä tuoreeltaan. Kalan lisukkeeksi mukaan lähtee mm. perunamuusia, että ehkä pikariisiäkin, sekä erinäisiä kuivattuja kasviksia, joista loihditaan mahdollisesti vaikka kalakeitto. Kalakeittoa varten mukaan otetaan Koskenlaskijaa, ja tottakai myös perunoita (ellei niitä eräs J-mies unohda autoon, köh köh).

Savustusta ei savustuspusseilla oikein olla saatu toimimaan, vaan melkeinpä kala tulee pussissa vain kypsennetyksi. Pientä savua toki mukana on. Ja ainakin harjus kuivuu suht helposti kun yrittää sitä savua saada riittävästi kalaan. Tosin juuri luin, että kunnon hiillokselle voisi tehdä kivistä “kiukaan”, jonka päällä kalaa voisi kypsyttää maltillisemmin eli pitempään, ja täten savu tarttuisi kalaan paremmin? Pitänee kokeilla. Kalanpaistohommiin ja muutenkin ruuanlaittoon mukana on myös voita, jolle kaivetaankin maahan “jääkaappi”. Samaan kaappiin menee yöksi toki myös graavikalat. Ellei kettu syö parempiin suihin… näinkin on käynyt.

Kuivatusta jauhelihasta on moni saattanutkin lukea vähän huonompia kokemuksia mm. Mikeyn osalta, kun jokin menikin hieman vikaan… No virhe ei tainnut tulla itse kuivatuksessa, vaan matkan varrella, mutta joka tapauksessa laiskana miehenä laitoin ostaen ehkä hieman turvallisempaa soijarouhetta. Mitenkään huippumaukasta tuo soijarouhe ei ole, mutta hyvin energiapitoista, ja kyllä se kunnolla maustamalla mielestäni ihan hyvin tuollaisessa makaroni-kasvis-sörsselissä menee. Usein kun on pääasia, että nälkä lähtee, vaikka toki herkutellakin pitää aina välillä.

 

Päiväruoka tiivistettynä:

- pussiruokaa päiväreissuilla ja leirissä kun ei jaksa muuta tai kun sää ei suosi (sekä varamuonana)

- kalaa paistettuna, graavina, savustettuna, keittoon – jos vain Ahti sitä suo (mukaan hyvä pannu paistamiseen, voita ja suolaa, sekä graavikalalle foliota, että sopivat muovirasiat niin voille kuin graavikaloille “jääkaappiin”)

- lisukkeina kuivatut suppikset, kuivatut vihannekset, pussimuusi, pikamakaroni, pikariisi (pikana keittoajan lyhentämiseksi = kaasun säästämiseksi)

- soijarouhe (tai kuivattu jauheliha) “sörsseleihin” tai vaikka valmiisiin pata-ainespusseihin (Italian pata yms.)

 

Iltaruoka / herkut;

Päivien rytmi vaihtelee, eikä aamupalan ja päiväruuan lisäksi oikein tiedä mitä iltaisin tulee syötyä. Tilanteen mukaan paistellaan kalaa tai syödään aiempia graavikaloja näkkärin päällä. Joskus ei mitään, tai sitten jotain herkkuja mitä sattuu mukana olemaan. Joskus kaverilla oli mukana jotain makrillipusseja, jostain Norjalaisten sissimuonapaketista ilmeisesti, ja tuo oli aika mainiota näkkärin päällä myös. Kuuma kuppi-keitto on lämpimänä monesti myös ihan mukavaa iltapalaa, vaikkei siitä niin nälkä lähdekään. Lämmin juotava viileinä päivinä tottakai tekee hyvää, ja ainakin kaakaopusseja lähtee mukaan, samoin kuin Pirkan Chokocappucinoja. Molempiin voi lisätä vaikka tilkan rommia…

Aikuisten voimajuomaa lähtee mukaan taatusti myös, ainakin viskiä, mutta varmaan myös rommia. Nämä pakattuna muovipulloihin toki. Puolentoista litran valkoviinipussukka olisi niiiin mukava ottaa mukaan kalalle kaveriksi, mutta katsotaan miltä rinkan sisältö lopulta näyttää, onko hartioissa voimaa… Herkkupuolelta mukaan lähtee varmaan jotain pientä salmiakkia sekä vähän suklaata, ja kaloripitoisuuden vuoksi otin jotain järkevääkin herkkua – Pirkka pähkinä-rusina-marjasekoituksia pari kappaletta á 150g. Kaloreita 490 per 100 grammaa. C-vitamiiniporetabletit lähtee myös tänä vuonna mukaan, niistä saa mukavaa juotavaa ja antavat tietty vitamiineja kehoon. Mahdollisesti myös magnesium-tabletteja rinkkaan sulloutuu. Ja melkein unohdin energiajuomat, joita kannattaa tehdä päiväreissuille mukaan vaikka se puoli litraa.

Aloitan kasaamaan noita aamupaloja ja päiväruokia, jonka jälkeen ynnäilen mukaan näkkileivät, kahvit, kaakaot, Kuuma kuppi-keitot, sekä “pakolliset” herkut. Katsotaan sitten missä mennään, ja tehdään se lopullinen ylilyönti siinä kohtaa kun rinkkaan vielä mahtuu jotain :) Joka tapauksessa ruokasatsi painaa varmasti aika paljon, kuitenkin noin kahden viikon ruuat pitää mukaan varata, enkä ainakaan itse halua nälässä olla, vaikka mihinkään mässyilyyn ei lähdetäkään. No ainakin rinkka on kevyempi tullessa kuin mennessä, se on varma!
